Collaberative Short Poem
One Moose Trumps Seven Deer
Backlit on the apron of the forest,
the scrim of daylight shadows fading,
the mushrooms snore, the ferns curl,
all but the meadow sleeps.
(Title by Jan. 1st 2 lines, Kass. Last 2 lines Sherry. Be careful. What you say in comments, may turn up in a poem)
Very successful co-operation. (Hope our politician s man age to do as well!) Most impressive result.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the collaboration. A moose at dawn or dusk definitely gets the heart thumping.
ReplyDeleteDAVE - Thanks. I'm amazed you got your comment through. I've been struggling with blogger and how randomly it manages to space lines. This has been in and out of draft 3 times. Thanks for hanging in there.

ReplyDeleteWV - flari. Have you yet set up that flari tea party I requested in that original post?
Very creative! Your readers are kindred poetic spirits that lend to just this sort of thing... and the effect is masterful...
ReplyDeleteLOL. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteI know puns aren't endeering, so I'll avoid making any mention of chocolate moose...
ReplyDeleteFor a story that doesn't begin with once apron a time this poem evokes quite a tail (seven white tails?).

ReplyDeletei'll see your deer, and raise you 2 bighorn sheep.
I love when Limes throws out a challenge.
