  3. I'm merry! Besides my being generally goony, we have good carpet cleaning juju going on and that makes us get up and dance. Add the thought of "spring cleaning" to Passover and Easter coming this weekend . . . we're rockin' the house! Frazzled and out of practice? Yep. Hatin' life? NO WAY!

  4. LES - Goony is good. I hiked for 4 hours Saturday for the first time in A..G..E..S..! It felt so good, and it did make me light-hearted.

I'm happy for your carpet-cleaning ju ju. Hey, what's the best thing for dog urine? My daughter's dog is thinking some of my mom's carpet is outside dirt (which it sort of is)?

  5. I had a good weekend, too! I was outdoors a lot, had a new adventure I want to write about, and my nose is sunburned.

OK, Cookie, I have hard news for you about pet urine. You can't buy what it takes. A professional has to do it. Do not believe in Nature's Miracle or other similar products. Go to our website - http://www.a1carpetcare.biz/ - and look at the 13th gray button down the lefthand side, Pet Odor and Urine Stain Removal. That's my writing and my research and my website, too, actually. And it's the ONLY way. You'll see David, some of the homes and me if you noodle around the website. My little birdies, too!

  6. LESLIE - Thanks. The beige carpet is already really soiled, but I worry if I let this urine stay and build up other dirt on top of it, it will be impossible to remove when we sell the house sometime down the road. We should probably be talking about this in an email, but oh well.

  7. tee hee... you have some wonderful levity in this post. It was JUST what the doctor ordered for me! :o) Thanks!

  8. If you don't address it timely, the saturation will seep into the carpet padding which will have to be replaced, and the subflooring may have to be sealed. The time to act to get pet urine out is now. This makes me merry. Not your misfortune due to Lola. Just that I know the real answer to some small esoteric thing in the world. E- me if you need to. I'll teach you the ins-and outs.

  9. I'm smiling and reading along and that last photo just made me burst out laughing! Did you take that last one? It couldn't be any more perfect... too funny!

Thanks for the levity in my Monday!

  10. I love to be silly, and I love to get cat pee out of the carpet like this: 1/3 ammonia 1/3 dishsoap 1/3 water it a squirter bottle. I don't know if it works for dog pee, but we have used it on our carpets and it kept the cat from using the same place. Unfortunately, he used our bed yesterday :(

  11. KRISTA - Sorry you needed a Dr., but glad I could help.

VICKY - I didn't take that last picture. It arrived in my email this morning with the caption, "There's always some idiot who has to go and ruin the photo!"

JULIE - Thanks for the tip. I kinda suspected you had your silly side.

  12. Absolutely agree. Goon is a boon. Super post.

  13. Are these all your wonderful, beautiful and spontaneous children Kass? If so, aren't you blessed?

I checked our Sarah's blog. What cheerful stuff. I'm all for a bit of frivolity here and there, especially in the name of art.

  14. ELISABETH - Yes, the offspring pictured here are spontaneous and brilliant, but I can't claim ownership anymore. They are all adults in their 30's (some of the pictures were quite old). And yes, I feel VERY blessed.

  15. DAVE - "Goon is boon." Love that!

  17. Dear Kass,
Thank you so much for the visit ~ and the compliment. When I read Dave's haikus I am energized and what follows (from me) takes less than a minute to compose.
I'll be back to see you again ....

  18. HELEN - Dave inspires me in the same way and I feel guilty of hubris most of the time, but oh well, we only blog once (in this lifetime).

  19. EXCELLENT photos! I know who they each "are" just by looking.

I'm guess you've served at least one term as the Mayor of Sillyville. Me too.

    Hmmm....maybe we're all related...

  20. P.J. - Yes, I think the relationship is obvious.
