...maybe something like this (from Pinterest)
I made a little table from a tree slice and a bark-covered garden barrel.
I installed a trellis/gate to the side yard.
...and I'm adding this just 'cause he's so darn cute (grandson).
I absolutely LOVE being outside. How about you?
Oh My Goodness, your garden is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOf course you need to put the last photo in.
cheers, parsnip
Thanks, Parsnip. Nice of you to stop by.
DeleteI spend most of my time at home on my covered patio. I have a variety of flower and veggie beds to watch grow all around me.
ReplyDeleteHave we ever seen pictures of this? Most of your shots are 'out on the prairie.'
DeleteWhen the weather's nice.
ReplyDeleteKirk, only when the weather's nice? I keep looking for your post on Leonard Nimoy. Maybe you've been busy.
DeleteKass, it's about Star Trek in general, with a special focus on Nimoy. It's a very ambitious, very long piece (that no one probably will have time to read once I finally post it) I hope to have it done by Memorial Day, but I ain't making any promises. I'm pleased that you're still interested. And yes, I've been busy.
DeleteA beautiful garden and charming home. Is that water I see in the background of one photo? Recycled doors aside your sitting area? I can tell it is all a source of joy. xo
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a water feature. It's something to think about. Recycled doors with sunflowers painted on boards, inserted into the openings. I'm going to have to varnish and varnish it to protect it from the elements (and cover with plastic in the winter). Yes, joy is all around, especially when I'm outdoors.
DeleteI wish that I had half your creative license.....
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria.
ReplyDeleteI love how you just keep on upcycling and everything you do turns out just right. I don't spend nearly enough time on my garden - haven't since moving to NZ eight years ago, but you're giving me ideas, and now the summer's ended and the bugs have all but gone, I might give the back yard another bash!
ReplyDeleteThat log table, though, there's no way I could make anything so lovely (or balanced!). Ah, maybe I'll just write about stuff some more :)
Love seeing the awakening of your home...what a cozy start to your new patio spot...Just stopping by to say hi and to give you a hug....
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas, they are always so fresh.
